The rectangular coin was struck from 1 oz of 999.9 fine silver in Proof quality and is limited to only 3,888 pieces worldwide. It is presented together with a numbered certificate of authenticity in a modern display case with a black frame, allowing both the obverse and reverse of the coin to remain visible. The reverse depicts an impressive oriental dragon with outstretched claws and a fearsome expression. Its long, curved body extends across the rectangular surface of the coin and features numerous finely detailed scales. The dynamic composition emphasises the strength and majestic presence of the mythical creature. Designed by Jennifer McKenna, the motif is complemented by the year of issue “2026” and The Perth Mint’s traditional “P” mintmark. The obverse features the portrait of His Majesty King Charles III designed by Dan Thorne. The design is completed by the inscriptions “CHARLES III” and “AUSTRALIA”, together with the face value of “1 DOLLAR”, the weight of “1 oz” and the fineness of “9999 Ag”.
