Selling to philoro - tips and tricks
You have treasures at home and want to turn them into cash?
To sell them, we recommend paying attention to the hallmark or hallmarking. This usually consists of three digits and indicates the proportion of the highest-grade precious metal in an alloy.
Example: If your gold ring says “585”, then 585 out of 1000 parts in the ring are made of pure gold. The remaining parts are other alloy components.
If your piece of jewelry is somewhat older or from abroad, the hallmark could also be titled with a carat such as 8 k. The highest purity 999 is 24 k. When converted, 8 k would therefore mean a fineness of 333.

Basically not. Genuine stones are professionally identified, and you will be notified if they have a significant added value. Fake stones and stones with a low value will be disposed of. See general terms and conditions.
All items sent in are carefully checked and valued. You will be contacted and receive a new offer at the current precious metal price. You can agree to this, or the items can be returned carriage forward if you wish.
Please enclose a copy of your identity card with the mailing so that we can clearly identify the sender for the sale of gold or other precious metals.
philoro checks the goods (e.g. weight), your customer details, the post and receipt at philoro GOLDWERK in Korneuburg. You will then be contacted. We will prepare a new offer for the sale of gold and/or report an insurance claim with you if necessary.
Yes, you will receive the value back, but not necessarily in its original condition. Damage to the items for sale up to the point of fusion of the goods may be necessary during a close inspection, which is why the original condition of the returned goods cannot be guaranteed.
