Information on the silver James Bond Legacy series - Roger Moore 1 oz PF - 2022
The second issue of the new “James Bond™ Legacy” coin series, issued by the Perth Mint, is dedicated to Roger Moore, the third Bond actor. In his 007 career, he not only fought against unique villains, but also had various gadgets at his disposal with which he performed spectacular stunts. Roger Moore was already shortlisted as a candidate for the role of James Bond in “Dr. No” and “On Her Majesty's Secret Service”, but was ultimately not chosen either time. In 1973, however, he got his role as 007 in “James Bond - Live and Let Die”. In addition to his debut as James Bond, he was given a total of 7 leading roles (1973 - 1985) in the films “Live and Let Die”, “The Man with the Golden Gun”, “The Spy Who Loved Me”, “Moonranker”, “On a Deadly Mission”, “Octopussy” and “In the Face of Death”.
The coin is struck in proof quality and comes in an original case including a numbered certificate of authenticity.
Design of the coin
The design side shows a black and white depiction of Roger Moore in a classic pose. The film titles of the James Bond films released between 1973 and 1985 can also be seen: “LIVE AND LET DIE”, “THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN”, “THE SPY WHO LOVED ME”, “MOONRAKER”, “FOR YOUR EYES ONLY”, “OCTOPUSSY”, “A VIEW TO A KILL”. The iconic 007 pistol logo is embossed underneath.
The value side shows the well-known portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley. It is surrounded by the lettering “QUEEN ELIZABETH II”, the face value “1 DOLLAR”, the country of issue “TUVALU”, the year of issue “2022” and the fineness “1oz 9999 Ag”.
