This extraordinary silver coin from the STAR WARS series was minted by the New Zealand Mint. This coin depicts the massive Sandcrawler™ transport vehicle, which resembles a mobile fortress. The vehicles are equipped with a magnetic suction tube through which droids and scrap could be sucked into the hold. They also contained cargo bays, scrap processing facilities and quarters for crew and passengers. This is the second issue in the “Vehicles” series, which started with the “AT-AT Walker” coin.
The polished plate (PF) is particularly sought after by collectors and is one of the most elaborate production processes for a coin. This exclusive silver coin is limited to a worldwide mintage of 2,000. The silver STAR WARS Sandcrawler 1 oz - PF 2022 is presented in an original black coin case. The outer packaging takes up the typical Star Wars™ design.

The design side shows the Sandcrawler™ as it moves across the desert landscape of Tatooine™ in the movie “Star Wars: A New Hope™”.The edge of the coin features the words “1 oz 999 Fine Silver” and the copyright of “Lucasfilm™ Ltd”.The value side shows the famous Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The portrait is framed by the lettering “ELIZABETH II”, the country of issue “NIUE”, the year of issue “2022” and the face value of “TWO DOLLARS”.
