Silver Zodiac Signs - Sagittarius 20 EUR Proof AUT - Sodalite 2026

Information about Silver Zodiac Signs - Sagittarius 20 EUR Proof AUT - Sodalite 2026

The "Zodiac Signs" series is a numismatic collection dedicated to the twelve signs of the zodiac. Each of the twelve lucky charm coins combines astrological symbolism with a corresponding decorative gemstone, harmoniously integrated into the coin's design. The series brings together two traditional worlds: the interpretation of zodiac signs and the special significance of selected gemstones. While the zodiac signs reflect personality traits, the cosmos and individual characteristics, the incorporated gemstone adds an additional layer of symbolism to each issue.

This fourth issue is dedicated to the zodiac sign Sagittarius. Sagittarius belongs to the element of fire and is associated with a love of freedom, optimism, a spirit of adventure and a thirst for knowledge in astrology. It is considered a curious and dynamic sign, constantly seeking new insights and the truth. In Greek mythology, Sagittarius is associated with the wise centaur Chiron, who represents healing, self-discipline and inner strength. In medical astrology, Sagittarius is traditionally associated with the hips and thighs - symbols of mobility and a desire for action. The dark blue sodalite serves as the matching decorative gemstone for this coin. In spiritual traditions, it is regarded as a symbol of mental clarity, self-confidence and inner balance. It therefore complements the optimistic and inquisitive nature of Sagittarius in a particularly harmonious way. With a strictly limited mintage of 30,000 pieces in the highest minting quality of Proof, this coin makes the perfect gift for collectors and a unique addition to any coin collection.

The Design of the Coin

The reverse depicts a young archer drawing his bow with a focused expression. The finely detailed portrayal of the archer gives the design a dynamic yet determined appearance. The figure is surrounded by an intricately designed circle that gradually dissolves into numerous stars towards the edge of the coin. These symbolize the connection between the zodiac, the cosmos and the astrological significance of Sagittarius. The obverse features the zodiac wheel with the symbols of all twelve zodiac signs. The Sagittarius symbol is prominently highlighted at the center of the design. In its original position within the zodiac wheel, a round, smoothly polished dark blue sodalite is incorporated as a decorative gemstone. Its intense color adds an elegant accent and emphasizes the special symbolism of this issue. A finely detailed starry sky forms the background and completes the harmonious coin design, combining the adventurous spirit and thirst for knowledge of Sagittarius with the symbolic clarity of sodalite.
