You can monitor the contents of your depot online at any time and have immediate access whenever you need something. The contents of your depot are fully insured and notarized. You will receive quarterly depot statements for this service.
Duty-Free Warehouse: If you choose the "duty-free warehouse" option, your products will be stored in a highly monitored facility in Switzerland. With this storage option, you benefit primarily from the VAT exemption on white metals, which only applies when the coins or bars are physically delivered.
Safety Deposit Boxes: Another storage option philoro offers is the safety deposit box, available at our locations in Berlin, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, or Leipzig. Here, your personal valuables, such as stocks, precious metal products, or documents, are stored in a bank-independent safety deposit box. Access to the safety deposit box is available during store hours.
In addition to purchasing, philoro Hamburg also supports you in selling your precious metals. You can bring us your old treasures, such as jewelry (chains, rings, bracelets, or similar), coins or bars, dental gold, and silverware (cutlery or decorative items) made of gold, silver, platinum, or palladium. Using the latest testing methods, such as X-ray fluorescence analysis, we determine the value of your items. Based on the precious metal content, weight, and current market price, we will make you an offer for your products after the analysis. If you choose to accept the offer, we will either transfer the amount to you or pay it to you directly in cash. The precious metals purchased by philoro are sent to the philoro refining plant in Korneuburg, Austria, where they are recycled and processed into new products such as bars, semi-finished products, or granules. By recycling your old precious metals, you help reduce the carbon footprint and conserve valuable resources.
