The artist David Lawrence designed the reverse of the coin. It depicts the lion standing upright with its mouth open. In its paws it holds a shield featuring Jane Seymour’s royal badge. This heraldic creature symbolizes the queen’s royal authority and lineage. The motif is surrounded by the inscription “QUEEN’S LION” and the year of issue “2026”. The obverse of the coin features the portrait of King Charles III, surrounded by the inscription “CHARLES III D G REX F D”. The obverse also bears the face value “100 POUNDS” and the initials “MJ” of British sculptor Martin Jennings, whose portrait of King Charles adorns the coin.
