The artist David Lawrence created the design for the coin’s reverse. It depicts the lion standing upright with an open mouth. In its paws, it holds a shield featuring Jane Seymour’s royal badge. This heraldic creature symbolizes the queen’s royal authority and lineage. The motif is framed by the inscription “QUEEN’S LION” and the issue year “2026”. The obverse of the coin bears the portrait of King Charles III, with the legend “CHARLES III D G REX F D” surrounding it.
